Allotment
We have our own school allotment in the field next to our school. Children use this space to grow their own fruit, vegetables and herbs. We often grow plants from seeds in our school greenhouse. Cracoe and Rylstone has a popular after school garden club where children spend time looking after our allotment. We are in the process of planting a woodland area in the field for our children to enjoy.
Playground
We have a large, secure playground in front of our school which we use for play times and outdoor learning. We have a shed outside, where we keep our outdoor games. We also have a sheltered performance area where we enjoy stories and plays in the warmer months. Our adventure trim trail is very popular at break times, to practise our climbing! We also have benches, football and netball nets.
Spiritual Garden
To the side of our school is the Spiritual Garden. This is a place we can pause and reflect. It is a grassed area with a willow dome.
Class 1 outdoor area
Class 1 have their own secure outdoor area attached to the classroom. Children can enter through the external classroom door. Here they will find lots of things set up to encourage learning through discovery, exploring and creating.
Indoors
Classrooms
We have two classes at Cracoe and Rylstone Primary. Class 1 and Class 2.
Library
Our library is open for children to come and browse every day. The library houses a range of books and is about to be refurbished.
Village Hall
We are fortunate to have Cracoe Village Hall next to our school. We use the hall to have our home-made school lunches, collective worship, P.E. and school productions.
Sports Hall and Swimming Pool
In Year 3, children are taken to Upper Wharfedale School to use their swimming pool and sports hall once a week where they enjoy swimming and PE lessons.
