Every half term, children in Year 6 across the federation read a book and then have a book club meeting to discuss the book. We share our thoughts and a review with others in school. Our book this half term is ‘Framed’ by Frank Cottrell-Boyce.
Mrs Turvey, our music teacher, runs a federation choir every Friday lunch time. It is open to anyone from year 3 to year 6. We learn a range of songs and perform in our annual concert and church services.
Miss Smith and some parent volunteers run a weekly after school gardening club. We tend to our allotment and learn about growing fruit, vegetables and herbs. We also plant flowers around the school grounds.
On Monday lunch times we have two volunteers who come into school and teach us how to knit. This club is open to anyone from Year 1 upwards. We complete ongoing projects and create small gifts.
